On Friday, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the assassination of the Reich Protector Reinhard Heydrich, the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová emphasized the importance of this operation for Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Čaputová also recalled the hundreds of men and women who contributed to this historic event and the follow-up that Germany took after this assassination – including the repression and burning of the village of Lidice. She also recalled the current war in Ukraine.
