Kajko and Kokosz are turning 50. The Polish Post is a stamp
although it is hard to believe Kajko and Kokosz are celebrating their 50th birthday this year. The first strip with the adventures of brave warriors appeared in 1972 in “Wieczor Wybrzeza”. On the occasion of the creation of one of the first series of comics The Polish Post has already presented its stamp.
It will be issued in the form of a block. In the field of the stamp: Kajka, Kokosza and Milusia. In the field of the block of flats, Jaga, Łamita, Lubawa Mirmiła. The post office announces two numbered forms – perforated and non-perforated. The perforated stamp will be available in a circulation of 90,000, while the non-perforated stamp will be available in just 6,000 in the store. Even before Children’s Day, on May 31, the first day’s box with the cover of “Flying School” will be available for sale.
On the site, stand presentations, presentations, block and point envelopes scored awards for them. Janusz Christy, Paulina Christa and the vice-president of Poczta Polska Wiesław Włodek.
Who in the 70s and 80s did not read the adventures of Kajka, Kokosz, who does not remember the smoke of Miluś, Łamignat, Corporal or, finally, Blood Hegemon? On the anniversary of the first anniversary of their adventures, Poczta Polska decided to introduce this comic to the children and to the grandchildren of Janusz Christa’s fans. We have issued a quote stamp in a block of which historical materials are really important equipment. On the FDC envelope, on the other hand, it was placed in the cover of “Flying School”, which since 2016 is on the list of compulsory reading for the fourth grade. It is also in the corporate directoryPresident Włodek said.
The issue of a postage stamp is a personal success for me. Importantly, from the very beginning of the idea, it was supported by crowds of comic book fans and philatelists in Poland. Thank you for that and I know that the department would be proud of all of us once again. I am very happy that Janusz Christa’s universe is growing so much. In the last two years, an animated series, a musical, a collective comic book edition of Kajko i Kokosz was created, now a postage stamp. Serve!Paulina Christa added.
The authors of the project are Joanna Fleszar-Haspert and Radosław Gieremek. The stamp has a format of 31.25 x 43 mm, a format block up to 90 x 70 mm.
