In comparison, during the worst days of the pandemic in October last year, more than 7,200 patients were treated in hospitals. There are 38 patients accommodated in intensive care units – again without change in the daily base. It is the strength of the intensive care bed that is one of the main criteria for tightening the measures in our country, and not how to infect people or active cases.
In this regard, the Single Information Portal presents data on the occupancy of intensive care beds in the five clusters. To today’s data of the whole country – all five regions are already at Stage 0, after the districts around Sofia are finally entering the blue zone. Most people with a completed vaccination course are in the age group 40-49 years – over 385,000 people. Followed by 60-69 with over 380,000 and 50-59 with more than 370,000. Logically, the least vaccinated are among children between 5 and 11 years – 2017. In booster doses, the first group is people between 60 and 69 years of age. with over 194,000 vaccinated. After them are the representatives of the group 70-79 years old with over 179,000 vaccinated.
Since the beginning of placement in 2021 reaches 92.36 percent of those admitted for treatment in the hospital are unvaccinated. This applies to those in need of intensive care, the percentage is even higher – 97.02%, according to data from the portal plusmen.bg.
Most cases after the last day are reopened in Sofia-city – 58, followed by Burgas with 10. In 3 districts – Veliko Tarnovo, Dobrich and Smolyan, no new infections have been registered.
