Clean My Ville Rose, the first ecological musical event in Toulouse
Sunday, June 5, the Toulouse association TouFcknLouz will clean the banks of the canal, the alleys of Brienne and Barcelona.
Mix music and ecology? This is the challenge launched by the Toulouse association TouFcknLouz, which specializes in electro events. Sunday, June 5, it organizes the first ecological musical action of Toulouse, Clean My pink city. A team of 30 volunteers will clean the Brienne canal and its alleys, all to music: they broadcast it live from an electric boat that navigates the canal to the rhythm of the volunteers.
The departure takes place at 10am, at the Saint-Pierre lock. The electric boat was made available by the Caboteurs team. The volunteers will clean the banks of the canal as well as the alleys of Brienne and Barcelona thanks to the equipment provided by the town hall and the Metropolis, partners of the project. DJs from the association Alexis Drouet, De Koast, Lerus and Maara will take turns behind the decks to animate and motivate the volunteers from start to finish. “It’s not just a musical event or an open air, there will be sound, but the goal is to clean up our pretty Pink City,” explains Stéphane Surel, president of the association. The circuit ends at the port of the mouth, where volunteers will receive a thank you drink. All drinks are financed by Valérie Dupont, manager of the bar l’Autre in Toulouse. This will be the time to weigh the collected waste. A campaign to raise awareness of cigarette butts thrown on the ground is organised.
“We want to renew the experience” announces Stéphane. In the long term, he and his partner Nicolas Rivoire, wanted the event to become regular, and to turn into a larger project, whether ecological or musical.
