Coworking spaces, what do you think? Your opinion interests researchers
About ten years ago, the first coworking space was born in Toulouse. Since then, these collaborative workplaces have developed all over the city. With the advent of telework following the Covid-19 crisis, researchers have decided to consider the opinion that some employees may have of these places which could accommodate some of them.
Because if in their beginnings, these spaces were used mainly by self-employed workers, today many of their users have made it a base for their day of teleworking, especially when their companies are far away, when they feel isolated. or that their accommodation is too small. As part of the Vilagil program of Toulouse Métropole, which is working on the means of decarbonization and decongestion of its territory by limiting travel, the Cognition Languages Language Ergonomics laboratory (CNRS – UT2J) has just launched a great online survey to sound out the first concerned about their desires.
Perception and interest of employees
“One of the ways to reduce travel, and therefore greenhouse gas emissions, is the creation of these coworking spaces. We are trying to find out with this survey how they are perceived by those who do not yet use them and who could be the brakes on their use,” explains Colin Lescarret, one of the CNRS researchers in charge of this anonymous online questionnaire.
A study aimed at Toulouse employees but also largely at those who are thinking about teleworking differently.
