At least Ukrainians with protection 1 minus Portugal
Since it began to apply in Ukraine, the 24th of the war, 38,278 Ukrainians or residents who live in the country are receiving foreign protection for Portugal.
Data from Foreigners and the Service indicate that 310 Ukrainian citizens ask for the cancellation of the protections and commemorative milestones they formalized with the SEF, a number that stands at 160 at the end of.

The SEF communicated to the Public Ministry (MP) the situation of 692 Ukrainian minors who arrived in Portugal without their parents or representatives, cases in which it is considered that there is no “current or near danger”.
In these situations, in which in most cases the child arrived in Portugal with a family member, the case is communicated to the MP for the appointment of a legal representative and eventual promotion of a process for the protection of the child.
The SEF also communicated to the Commission of 15 Minors for the Protection of Children and Young People (CPCJ of 15 minors who arrived in Portugal not complementary, but with another situation that does not represent the parents or legal representative situations, representing these cases “current or current danger” .
The protection request created by the SEF for Portugal can be made through the platform://sefforukraine.sef.pt., which was the platform designed for this service, without the need for three adults for security.
However, in the case of minors, it is mandatory to go to a Foreigners and Borders Service desk to confirm their identity and affiliation.
According to the SEF, the municipalities with the highest number of protections concerned continue to be Lisbon (5,917), Cascais (2,452), Sintra (1,392), Porto (1,374) and Albufeira (1,316).
The war in nearby countries1 has already forced more people to flee their homes – around eight million internally displaced people and more recently 6.3 million – according to the latest UN data, which ranks this refugee crisis as the worst in Europe. since the Second World War (1939-1945).
