a school closed after a second intrusion and damage to Bagatelle
Ten days after a first intrusion and significant damage, a school in Toulouse had to close again this Tuesday, May 24. The children were sent home.
This is the second time in ten days… The ClĂ©ment Falcucci primary school in Bagatelle had to close its doors following an intrusion, on the night of Monday to Tuesday May 24. The children who went to school this morning had to turn back. The school is closed.
“It’s the second time in ten daysreacts a student’s mother. A priori, the windows do not close on the first floor, there must not have been sufficient security. And that allowed a second intrusion. This is a big safety issue for our children. The last time, during the weekend 10 days ago, furniture was broken and paint was thrown in 5 classrooms, not to mention the children’s belongings all returned.
The children would not be able to resume until next week as school was closed on Thursday and Friday for the Ascension Bridge. Last week, the parents had already had to manage from Monday to Wednesday, the time for cleaning and security work to be carried out.
“We learned that this morning when we took the kids to school. There is, like last week, no minimum service. I’m quite annoyedpursue this mother. It is intolerable that the school is the target of such acts. And intolerable that they spread so quickly.”
“This means that there was no follow-up to secure the premises or increase the vigilance of the police services. That’s a lot twice in 10 days! It’s a priority neighborhood school, classified in REP+, I wonder if it could happen the same way in the city center”.
For the time being, the municipality does not communicate, it is carrying out an inventory.
