Portugal honors Ukrainian official for repatriation operations — DNOTICIAS.PT
The prime minister today, in Kiev, on behalf of the President of the Republic, decorated a Ukrainian employee of the Portuguese embassy who distinguished himself in the repatriation operations of national and Portuguese-Ukrainian citizens in the first days of the war.

The Portuguese ambassador highlighted how Andryi Putilovsky shares in the early days of the war, when Russian forces were besieging a Ukrainian capital and knowing that capital would fall to Moscow troops.
The official, who works as a technical assistant and accountant, managed to repatriate many Portuguese, Luso-Ukrainians and even Brazilians.
“The people of this embassy are my family and Portugal has become my second homeland”, declared Andryi Putilovsky.
“We are here to distinguish a great official at the service of the Portuguese State”, considered before the Portuguese ambassador to Ukraine.
António Costa, in turn, said it was “a great honor to honor on behalf of the President of the Republic” as an insignia of the Order of Freedom Putilovsky, and highlighted the official’s action “in the most difficult moments of the war” for the Ukrainian capital.
“This embassy has never closed and has always been open to the public”, added the Portuguese ambassador to Ukraine.
