LUXEMBOURG – Two occupants of a car are sadly noticed at the exit of an underground car park in Clausen in Luxembourg, on the night of Friday to Saturday, report to the police.
The night from Friday to Saturday was very hectic for the Grand Ducal police, who reported several incidents related to drink-driving. Two occupants of a car were particularly noticed at the exit of an underground car park in Clausen in Luxembourg, shortly before 4 am. Drunk, they refused to pay before leaving the parking lot, indicating the police.
“The two occupants would then have taken turns behind the wheel and would be accelerated several times in front of the closed barrier”, adds the police. The authorized amount of alcohol having been greatly exceeded by the two people, a temporary driving ban was issued. A complaint has been filed.
Involved in two accidents
In addition, a drunk driver was involved in two accidents. He first collided with another vehicle in the Dräikantonsstrooss in Filsdorf, before fleeing. The accident caused extensive property damage, but no one was injured. He then damaged a car at a service station on Avenue des Alliés in Ettelbruck. Even before the arrival of the police patrol, however, the driver continued on his way. The vehicle was finally able to be stopped near the church of Ettelbruck.
As the driver was under the influence of alcohol and the drug test came back positive, his driver’s license was revoked. His car was immobilized and a report was drawn up.
During the night, other motorists were caught in the act of drinking and driving and had their driving licenses confiscated, between Ellange and Mondorf-les-Bains, on the A7 at the height of the Gousselerbierg tunnel and on the A13 at the Kayl exit.
