Red Bull Salzburg has celebrated 25 victories in a Bundesliga season six times in the club’s history, and this season they could surpass this figure for the first time and set an old record for Wiener Austria. In the 1985/86 season, the “Violets” were able to get 26 wins, but in 36 games, while Salzburg could accomplish this feat in just 32 games. Correspondingly motivated, Matthias Jaissle and his team go into the end of the season against Austria Klagenfurt, where, after winning the title, they can finally accept the championship plate.

“The points and winning records are little things that still play a role in order to motivate our players a little bit more. There is also the additional chance of playing the season with the fewest goals conceded. Those are small side notes that ultimately die As a result, we perform regularly at weekends all year round. That’s of course a cool story,” says Jaissle and at the same time emphasizes: “Above all, we want to show our own fans and in a full hut in this last game, how much fun and passion we still have, and then have a really great championship celebration afterwards.”
Ulmer becomes home win at the end of the season
At the end of the season, the Mozart city-dwellers can look forward to a full house, two days before the game against Klagenfurt there were only 1,000 remaining tickets. Captain Andreas Ulmer, who was able to celebrate his twelfth championship title again with Salzburg, is looking forward to the big party with the fans after the party, despite the diligent trophy collecting in recent years: “I’m still not bored and I’m looking forward to it huge, especially because this time we can again celebrate with our fans in the stadium and receive the championship plate. Our coach kept our focus and concentration high for the last few games because we want to say goodbye to the season with a win.”
A little caution is not inappropriate, as the Klagenfurt are the only team besides Sturm Graz that could inflict a defeat on the Salzburgers in the current season. In the last duel, however, nothing was left to chance with a clear 6-0 away win in Carinthia and a win set the right mood for the upcoming celebrations, as Ulmer makes clear: “I already knew that we were in the last game have suffered one before the master plate was handed over. That spoiled the mood back then. That’s why it’s very important that we get three points again and take the game seriously.”
Midfielder Nicolas Capaldo, who is out with a thigh problem, will have to do without midfielder Nicolas Capaldo at the end of the season, and regular players Philipp Köhn (knee) and Noah Okafor (toe) are also still unavailable. Whether Mohamed Camara can participate again after his dental surgery is questionable. Daouda Guindo, Bryan Okoh and Kamil Piatkowski also have to watch the end of the season from off the pitch.
