the sanction fell after the excesses against Monaco
The Disciplinary Committee of the League has delivered its verdict following the excesses of some of the supporters of AS Saint-Etienne during the reception of AS Monaco on behalf of the 34th day of Ligue 1.
After losing a closed session as a precaution and purged last Saturday against Reims (1-2), the commission was more lenient with the simple closure of the Snella stand for three games.
“In view of the incidents that occurred before and during the AS Saint-Étienne – AS Monaco match (34th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats), the LFP Disciplinary Committee decided on April 25, 2022 to put the file under investigation and pronounced as a precaution the following measure:
Behind closed doors at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium until the final decision is pronounced.
After reading the investigation report, the Commission pronounces the following decisions against AS Saint-Étienne:
Conservatory of the lifting of the measure.
A match behind closed doors by revocation of the suspended sentence (already served as part of the precautionary measure).
Closure for three matches of the Snella Tribune of the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium.” a press release from the disciplinary committee.
