this festival offers a total immersion in the Middle Ages
The Middle Ages come to Toulouse. From May 27 to 29, the The Medieval Festival moved to the Prairie filters. On the program: three days of total immersion in the time of the knights. Swordsmanship, calligraphy, period farm, dance initiation or even a grand banquet are planned during this weekend of the ascent in Toulouse.
The event is intended to be intergenerational and family-friendly. Objective: to plunge back into the heart of the history of France by approaching the traditions, crafts and gastronomy of yesteryear. To do this, a large medieval market will be set up throughout this festivals in Toulouse. Visitors could find period jewelry, costumes, leather goods or even regional products. Several knight shows will be offered, while children can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides.
Wandering around the Victor-Hugo and Carmes markets
If the festival is held mainly in the heart of the Prairie of filters, wanderings will however invade the Victor Hugo markets and Carmelites. On the catering side, a tavern will be specially set up. On the menu : Toulouse sausage, poultry from the Gers or lamb from the Pays d’Oc. Finally, board game enthusiasts could participate in the very serious Owl Ass World Championship, a dice game from the Kaamelott series.
