Training starts on June 13th, training camp in Austria
On Tuesday afternoon, second division football club Holstein Kiel presented their summer timetable for preparing for the 2022/23 season. On June 9th, the KSV pros will come together again in Projensdorf for the performance diagnostic tests, before head coach Marcel Rapp will invite them to the official training start on June 13th.
On Saturday, June 25, the first highlight of the preparations will be the first test match – and a high-class northern duel will follow: league competitor FC St. Pauli, who gambled away promotion to the Bundesliga in the season finale, will be tested by the KSV in Kiel under competition conditions.
A day later, the stork entourage sets off for Austria. An eight-day training camp in Zell am See is scheduled from June 26th to July 3rd. Two test matches are planned on site, but the opponents have yet to be announced.
At the end of the preparations, Holstein Kiel will meet the Danish first division club Silkeborg IF at home on July 9th. Six days later, on July 15, the second division season begins with the first day of play. The German Football League (DFL) will publish the exact schedule in the coming weeks.
