“Night of the Museums”, almost 600 people at the National Picture Gallery of Siena
Almost six hundred people took part in the “Night of Museums 2022” at the National Picture Gallery of Siena.
During the tour it was possible to admire the works, listen to the possibilities of the personal association of the museum and the podcast of “Voci di Pinacoteca” created by the “Accademia Minima” cultural academy. It was also possible to attend the demonstration by Francesco Chiantese who explained, involving the public, how the “Voci di Pinacoteca” project was born. At the end of the evening it was announced that the podcast will be listenable in front of the works until the end of June 2022.
The activities in the Pinacoteca do not stop even in the weeks that take place with other appointments:
– extraordinary openings of Palazzo Chigi Piccolomini at the Postern every Tuesday and Thursday until mid-June
– last conference of “Art Relations” with Caterina Toschi, professor at the University for Foreigners, entitled “The image of art: the photographic collection of Cesare Brandi”.
“The Pinacoteca proves to be a vital place that generates interest in the Sienese population – comments the director Axel Hémery – It was nice to note the presence of many young people and families at the initiative, which was pleasant for different types of public and enlivened a pleasant spring initiative. “
