Great smell and a scene like from the Middle Ages. The main railway station in Prague also scares tough police officers

REPORTAGE We went to the main railway station of the Czech capital. Let’s say straight, without the word ‘journalist’ on the T-shirt. We walked through the hall and tried to bear the testimony of people from war-torn Ukraine.
However, nonprofits, translators and others did not want to have fun. They were in a hurry. We therefore turned to the police. Distrust was later replaced by the relief that they could discuss it with someone. It is said that they did not encounter a similarly demanding task. It is not a fear or an unmanageable situation; the point is that, according to them, the situation is out of control.
“When you deal with an operational task, you know it’s going on; it doesn’t look like that here. There are, for example, twelve in a row, we take turns, but those situations are really indescribable, “one of the police officers told the PL editor. “I read Parliamentary Papers, you have a lot of information, but I don’t think you should support Russia, Putin is a beast,” he added.
We had a while.
They discussed the situation from all angles.

What bothers these law enforcement officers?
“It’s not that we’re bothered by anything specific, but it’s like an encounter with the Middle Ages. “You know, maybe the Roma started a fire again in the park in front of the station,” he said. But there are more of those clashes between two different civilizations. “Ukrainian cleaning is needed here. Or not directly Ukrainian, but there are two ladies who clean and they complain a lot. Firstly, they do not speak to the Roma, many of them speak Hungarian, then there is a great smell and order. “
In order not to walk around the hot porridge, the feces and the typical abrasion of urine were really good enough. We saw the wet stairs and makeshift toilets in the bushes.

Prague alone is not enough
The children, well dressed, played. They run to the subway, often have plastic pistols or draw. When journalists are present, they pose. Women lie on the ground, walk in the park. One told us in Russian that she was hungry. We bought her a baguette and cigarettes.
“They smoke inside, that’s the problem, we’re telling them again,” said the police officer.
It is said that they resolved several conflicts on the spot, but they did not want to say that the station was monitored by a security system. “I do not say that the situation is under control, it is not. Such a large mass of people, which is not taken care of, is a problem. They don’t even want from Prague, they want to stay put, “he also said.
The call lasted a few tens of minutes.
He was really strong during the week, then we left.
Through Mayor Hřiby, Prague appealed to the Prime Minister to help the Ukrainian Roma. The capital is said to be no longer enough on its own. From our point of view, this is an unimaginable contrast between the reality in which we live and the world of the Ukrainian Roma.
We are also preparing in front of the main station on Saturday night, because we have information that dozens are still moving near it. We will bring the report.

Ukraine (war in Ukraine)
Battlefield reports are difficult to verify in real time, whether they come from the conflict. For obvious reasons, both warring parties may omit completely or partially false (misleading) information.
