The Sapphire House Antwerp: second five next week
Antwerp will be five richer next week. The Sapphire House Antwerp is, next to The Botanic Sanctuary, the second five five in the city. With approximately two months of delays, the first Marriott hotel in Antwerp will open its doors on Tuesday 17 May.
In the wake of the Handelsbeurs, the Sapphire House Antwerp brings Antwerp’s heritage back to life. The five is part of the Autograph Collection, a series of two carefully selected hotels, each with their specific, authentic style within the Marriott empire.

The unique and completely plant-based hotel with five-star service has no fewer than 139 unique rooms, a cocktail bar, a gym and a gastronomic restaurant.
two-star chef
Two-star chef Bart De Pooter provides the entire culinary experience of the hotel: from the two restaurants Wild|n and Plant|n to breakfast, room service and even the minibar. He chooses a vegetable kitchen. “There are already many plant-based restaurants, but not at top gastronomic level. For example, we are the only ones in Belgium to offer a completely composed service around the clock,” said the chef in an interview with Antwerp newspaper.
