TORINO (VG) It went as planned; Subwoolfer is ready for the grand finale of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on Saturday. – Wolf-like! is the gang’s first reaction after the performance. Amanda Tenfjord and Greece also went further!
– It was fun to stand on stage and feel that the whole hall was singing. The jubilation after we finished was to touch and feel, it is said from Subwoolfer.
– We are super happy wolves who say that this was wolftastic! they say in the statement.
See Subwoolfer around Tix:
The Norwegian contribution was read out on Tuesday night among the ten nations – out of 17 – that will have the opportunity to fight in the final. “Give That Wolf A Banana” has been a fan favorite and first choice for the most ardent Eurovision fans down here for the past week or so, and Subwoolfer himself has been good at nurturing fans, the host city of Turin and sending love in the form of Instagram videos to other participating countries, including Greece and the UK.
Subwoolfer goes on to say in his statement after the semi-final that wolves are not so used to water, and that it was a little scary to be on stage, but fortunately they have now found out that water is not dangerous.
It was also Subwoolfer – along with Amanda Tenfjord and Greece – who received the most applause in the press room after his performance.
Before tonight’s semi-final, Norway and Subwoolfer were in a safe third place in the betting at Eurovision world, and it lasted until the semi-finals. Amanda Tenfjord was here in second place, behind Ukraine.

Earlier in the evening, by the way, the first mask among the wolf pack was thrown. It turned out that our former Eurovision participant TIX hid under the helmet of DJ Astronaut, but it has not been confirmed by the Norwegian delegation that it really is TIX who is DJ Astronaut, or whether this was a new PR stunt.
Morten Westgaard in Eurovision Norway pointed out in one VG interview Tuesday that during the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix final, DJ Astronaut and Subwoolfer stood together with NorthKid and waited for the final result, while TIX distributed the votes from Eastern Norway.
Amanda Tenfjord was tonight’s second «Norwegian» participant on Tuesday, as a representative of Greece with «Die Together». She was read out right after Norway as the sixth nation got a final place.
She, too, has had her favorite stamp down here and told earlier in the day that the nerves were under control after the important dress rehearsal on Monday where the foundation was laid for the professional juries’ voting next Saturday.
– Yes, I’m calmer today and have just had a new test. I also think it went well, maybe because I was a little more relaxed, she told VG before the semifinals on Tuesday night.
The professional jury and the people’s jury each make up fifty percent of the result in the final itself.

Amanda Tenfjord (24) will represent Greece in the international Eurovision final in the coming years.
VG’s reviewer, Marius Asp, believes that Norwegians should vote for Amanda Tenfjord and Greece on Saturday.
– A much better song than Subwoolfers, says Asp who is still not surprised that Norway recovered until Saturday.
– I strongly doubt that they can assert themselves in the final. It can hardly be called a song, says Asp.
Norway has a place in the first half of Saturday’s final, while Amanda Tennfjord and Greece in the second half – something that usually comes as an advantage.
In addition to Norway and Greece, the following countries advanced to Saturday’s final: Switzerland, Armenia, Iceland, Lithuania, Portugal, Ukraine, Moldova and the Netherlands.
This means that our dear neighbors in the south, Denmark, were knocked out.
