KMSKA offers all-in tickets, a sharp discount for Antwerp residents (Antwerp)
The enlarged Royal Museum of Fine Arts will also receive new rates. Soon, visitors will be able to purchase all-inclusive tickets to enjoy a full day of art. Cost: 20 euros. Antwerp residents with an A card will be able to enter the museum on Tuesdays for 10 euros. “The tickets apply to both the permanent and temporary exhibitions,” says general director Carmen Willems.

The Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp will reopen on Saturday September 24, after a total renovation that has lasted ten years. With 14,000 square meters of public space and more than 8,000 works of art, some 650 of which will have a permanent place, visitors will not know where to look first.
If you want to discover the extensive museum in its entirety, you may need more than one day. That is why the KMSKA joins the museum pass system from day one. For 59 euros per year, you can visit more than two hundred museums in Belgium for free with such a pass, including the renovation KMSKA. “For us, that is not the most interesting formula financially, but we see it as our social duty to technology the museum visit in this way,” says Carmen Willems, general director of the KMSKA.

Standard ticket
The Royal Museum of Fine Arts is also presenting its rates today, which will be on sale from June 16, exactly one hundred days before the reopening. The standard ticket, for visitors older than 25 years, costs 20 euros. “We have researched the rates of similar museums in Europe. The prices there fluctuate between 18 and 25 euros, with the main difference that abroad you often have to pay extra for temporary exhibitions, the cloakroom, audio guide and/or a toilet visit. We consciously choose one price and that includes everything. We do not charge an extra fee for anything, not even for temporary exhibitions. And, the ticket is absolutely valid for the day. You can visit in the morning and in the later repeat with the same ticket.”
Discount for Antwerp residents
In addition to the standard ticket, there are numerous discounted fares. With an A card, Antwerp residents can visit the museum every Tuesday at half price (10 euros), by analogy with the rates of the other city museums. Visitors between the ages of 18 and 25 also pay 10 euros.
Everyone under the age of 18 has free access to the KMSKA. Also those who have an A card and belong to a disadvantaged group will not have to pay. Supervisors of persons with disabilities and supervisors of school groups may replace the museum. Cardholders of ICOM, Museumpas, Friends of the KMSKA and the exit pass with VT status also receive free entry. “And there too with the all-in-one formula,” says Willems.
