The Dvorecký bridge over the Vltava in Prague will be built by Metrostav TBR, Firesta and Strabag in 810 days
The winning price is 1,075 billion crowns, the estimated price when announcing the tender last autumn was 972 million crowns.
Today, the Prague Council approved the selection of a company that will build the Dvorecký Bridge over the Vltava River between Smíchov and Podolí. The winner of the tender was the association of companies Metrostav TBR, Firesta-Fišer, reconstruction, construction and Strabag. Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer.
“Out of a total of five offers, the consortium of companies offered the best offer in terms of price, construction time and warranty period,” Adam Scheinherr, the councilor for transport, told the daily Zdopravy.cz. The winning price is 1,075 billion crowns with a construction period of 810 days. The estimated price when announcing the tender last autumn was 972 million crowns. In addition to the price, the length of construction (15 pct.) And the length of the warranty period (10 pct.), The quality of the team (5 pct.) Was also evaluated. Since last week, Prague has had the most valid building permit.
The Dvorecký bridge spans the Vltava in the section between the Zlíchov and Podolsk banks and thus connects the Prague 4 and Prague 5 districts. It acquired a new shape during the previous year’s reconstruction of Nádražní Street, so the Barrandov line is ready to connect the line from the Dvorecký Bridge. The project includes a new tram and bus stop Dvorecký most.
The Dvorecký Bridge is one of the most fundamental buildings for Prague’s public transport. It is to become the germ of the so-called southern tram tangent, connecting important tram lines leading from Barrandov and Modřany. The tram will shorten the journey by up to six kilometers compared to the detour over the Palacký Bridge. Thanks to the new bridge, it will be possible to cancel part of the bus lines leading across the Barrandov Bridge.
Dvorecký bridge will be designed only for public transport, cyclists and pedestrians, if they will be able to use the vehicles of the rescue system.
