Erik Fetter about the Giro d’Italia: Budapest is unattainable!
After the second stage of the Giro d’Italia road cycling race, Erik Fetter stated that nothing can be raced in Budapest.
“I’ve competed in a lot of places before, but I’ve never experienced anything like this anywhere. Not only were there many at the start, finish, and ascent, but on every single street. It gave me an amazing amount of energy. ” – said the Hungarian racer of LO-Kometa, who was the 65th starter in the 9.2-kilometer individual time trial.
Fetter, who reached the finish line in the Castle with the 10th best time, proved to be a second faster than his compatriot Barnabas Peák, who started earlier.
The Hungarian biker told MTI: he did not cut the distance for him to be the best Hungarian as a time trial champion, but rather to avoid as much as possible from the other rivals.
“It’s not a classic time trial because there are more corners and an ascent in the end, but I like that more. And Budapest is unattainable: we left the Heroes’ Square, passed the Parliament and arrived here, in the Buda Castle. ”
Fetter, who was apparently under the influence of the previous 12:28 minutes, said.
🤓 The Parliament building (Parliament) is the seat of the Parliament. It is located on the Pest side of the city.

The contestant added that the fall he suffered on Friday’s 195-kilometer stage didn’t hold him back in any way because he escaped what happened with scratches. “Once in my life I have such an opportunity to race in Girón Visegrád, so I had a little poison in me, but I just managed to release this myself and use it as a motivation to continue.”He said.
The first three stages of the 105th Giro d’Italia will be held in Hungary.
