Prague obtained a valid permit for the construction of the Dvorecký Bridge. About a billion – ČT24 – Czech Television is to be published
“Dvorecký bridge has a valid building permit. In three and a half years, we have already obtained four building permits for bridges over the Vltava – Trojská lávka, Štvanická lávka, reconstruction of the Barrandov Bridge and now for the construction of the Dvorecký Bridge, ”said Scheinherr.
The eastern outlet of the bridge will be at Žluté lázně north of Jeremenkova Street, the western one will be near the Lihovar tram stop. It will be 388 meters long and 16 meters wide. The construction includes both bridgeheads, including a footbridge for cyclists, retaining walls and works of art. The bridge will complete the lack of connections for public transport, and cyclists between the banks of the Vltava.
The architectural form of the bridge was created during the last management of the city. The current one then provided the designer, geological survey and began to compete with the contractor. In the past few years, during the repair of Nádražní Street in Smíchov, a tram branch to a new bridge was built near the distillery.
Most Madeleine Albright?
The bridge is still known by its working name Dvorecký, but Scheinherr said at a March meeting that he would negotiate with Prague 4 and 5 to be named after the late former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
So far, the last Prague bridge over the Vltava, the Troja Bridge, was put into operation in October 2014. It replaced the Troja Tram Bridge from 1981, nicknamed “Ramusak”, which ended on October 7, 2013. In 2020, the city opened a new footbridge across the Vltava instead of the one that collapsed in 2017. The municipality also recently started the construction of the Štvanická footbridge from Holešovice to Karlín.
Many bridges over the Vltava are in poor condition and the city is gradually being repaired, such as Barrandov. The Libeň and Hlávkův bridges are also awaiting repairs.
