The Faculty Polyclinic of the General Hospital in Prague has opened a general practitioner’s office for Ukrainians
“We perceive the need to take care of such a large number of people in the form of a general practitioner,” Dita Svobodová, head nurse of the General Hospital and the 1st Medical Faculty, told the News that the goal is also to make it easier for UK points at large teaching hospitals.
A total of three days a week will be available to patients by a Czech doctor with a translator, and the remaining two days will be prescribed by a Ukrainian doctor.
She fled Ukraine a week before giving birth
Jana has had a husband in the Czech Republic for seventeen years and has now fled here with her daughters before the war. One week after her arrival, she gave birth to her third child in the U Apolináře maternity hospital. They visited the doctors for registration and inspection.
A Czech doctor with a translator prescribes for three days and a Ukrainian doctor for two days.

“I gave birth here two months ago and I need a general practitioner because I have to go for a check-up because of a caesarean section,” he explains, adding that he will also register both older daughters.
I add that the surgery for Ukrainians is a very good idea, because there are many of them and they need help.
Full since morning
The waiting room had been full of people since morning. Yevhenyy and Tatiana came to the GP because of musculoskeletal problems.
“My back hurts, but I can’t buy medicine. I know which one to buy, but I need a recipe. I was informed that I can come here today and report to a general practitioner, “Yevhenyy told the News.
Tatiana’s neck problems reappeared after she had traveled a long way from Donbas, Ukraine.
She has reportedly undergone an operation in Ukraine before. “We are glad to see a Ukrainian doctor. I had surgery, so I need rehabilitation, “he adds.
According to Dita Svobodová, the reasons why Ukrainian patients visit a general practitioner’s office are no different from those of Czech patients.
