Nuclear: Iran, no pause in Vienna, talks left – Europe

(ANSA) – TEHRAN, 04 04 – The Vienna talks to relaunch the 2015 nuclear agreement are not on pause but remain in other ways. The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian made it known, as reported by Mehr, underlining that the exchange of written messages between the Islamic Republic and the US goes on with the mediation of the secretary general of the foreign action service of the European Union Enrique Mora. “We are aiming for a strong and permanent agreement and we asked the Americans to be realistic,” said Amirabdollahian reiterating Iran’s request to remove all and have economic guarantees.

Talks to revive the nuclear deal, resumed on November 29 in the Austrian capital, have stalled since March after a mutual exchange of accusations between Washington and Tehran blaming each other for not being able to make political decisions .

Recently Iran’s request had a new advance concerning the exclusion of the Revolutionary Guards from the list of organizations considered terrorist by the United States.

The Islamic Republic is also asking for guarantees for the next American government not to withdraw from the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program as former US President Donald Trump did in 2018. (ANSA).
