The opposition in Prague 11 wants to dismiss the deputy mayor: “Shut up, you motherfucker!” He should have told the deputy.
According to a behind-the-scenes record of the council meeting, Sedeke was to tell Kos: “Shut up, you motherfucker!”. Sedeke later said on social media that his reaction was provoked by Kos shouting at him at the time, adding that he had been dishonored and insulted by Kos since the start of the 2018 parliamentary term.
Sedeke apologized for using vulgar language at the council meeting. “My reaction to Mr Kos’s term was inappropriate. Vulgarisms are not part of the council meeting, not even behind the scenes, that is, outside the official discussion at the microphone,“he said.
Opposition representatives Robert Vašíček (We, who live here) and Martin Farmačka (HPP11) were recalled from the advisory bodies set up by the Prague 11 Council this year due to their public speeches. The district council decided to dismiss the commission in mid-April. Representatives of the council marked the statements of the opposition representatives as “Incompatible body with the performance of the function of a member of the Advisory Board”.
Vašíček was recalled due to his statements on social networks about the war in Ukraine, Farmačka for an anti-Semitic statement, which according to councilors was to deliver at a council meeting in June 2021. Farmačka and opposition representative Jiří Štyler (HPP11) then used the words “Jewish Bolshevik”designated by some board members.
At that time, the Jewish community of Prague provided assistance to the anti-incident. The dismissal of Farmačka from the commission in April this year marked HPP11 as an effort “To dishonor the opposition Movement for Prague 11 before the upcoming municipal elections”. Some deputies elected for YES also publicly opposed the dismissal of opposition representatives from the town hall.
Opposition representatives in the South City have proposed the removal of members of the Prague 11 Council, including Mayor Jiří Dohnal (Pirates), once in this term. They were successful last October, when the council dismissed Zuzana Ujhelyi (Pirates), then councilor for education, at the suggestion of Štyler. At the same meeting, Ondřej Prokop (ANO), who until then was in charge of managing the city’s property, investing and supporting the business, was also removed from the position of deputy mayor.
Pirates, YES, ODS, TOP 09 and STAN rule in the South City. There have been disputes between coalition partners in South City since the spring of 2021, and some political entities have subsequently stated that they no longer feel bound by a coalition agreement. The city district, where 77,600 inhabitants live, includes the cadastral territory of Chodov and Háje.
