Softball players Arrows Ostrava reached the finals among the elite, where they lost to the defending champions from Joudrs Praha 0: 3 in matches. The ambitions of the Czech vice-champions in the new part, which they started at the weekend at home, are therefore high.

Softball players Arrows Ostrava, the defender of the silver medal, started the new year of the extra league at the weekend at home with Temp Praha (6: 4, 2: 3) and Eagles Praha (10: 3, 8: 3).

“I’m thinking of a medal,” confirmed coach Pavel Burkovic. The silver team changed a bit during the winter. “They are no longer Japanese, but we have other players who should help,” the coach introduced the American bowler Crystine Kistner, visiting Dominika Mešťanová with Petra Slaninková from Kunovice and Niki Schwarzingerová, who transferred to Ostrava from Cats Brno.
“On the other hand, Mari Burkovičová and Niki Schwarzingerová will probably go to the USA to study second. We will see how the season develops, “added Pavel Burkovič.

Arrows softball players made a home start to the new year of the extra league, after the weekend they have three victories out of four matches. The series with Tempo Prague ended in a draw (6: 4, 2: 3), the Eagles Prague beat twice (10: 3, 8: 3). “I think we managed the first playing weekend. Three wins and one loss are an absolutely beautiful start to the season for us. We know what to build on and also what to improve in the next matches, “rejoiced the representative Tereza Kubicová, Captain Arrows.

“We believed that we would succeed, we know both teams from last season, despite the addition of their staff. I am not so sorry for the close loss to Temp, because we played very concentrated in defense and fought in the attack, but we did not deal with the national pitcher Bláhová so that it was enough to win, “coach Burkovič said the reason for the defeat.
