Torres women, against San Marino to celebrate salvation and more
The Female Torres, after having obtained the salvation in the home of Cortefranca, wants to celebrate the success achieved in front of their own public. The next challenge of Mauro Ardizzone’s girls will be that of the home recovery within the friendly walls of Sennori’s “Basilio Canu” against San Marino. The kick-off is set for 2.30 pm on Sunday 1st May. Before the match, the under 15 players will take the field for a celebratory moment and, thanks to the victory of the regional championship of the category, have gained access to the national stages.
The girls of Torres Women, after having won in the 23rd round of the championship at Cortefranca for 2-1, will be involved in the recovery of the fourteenth day of the women’s Serie B at home against San Marino. During the week the Sassari players did their utmost and trained hard with the aim of daring following the string of victories of the last period in view of the next match. After the success achieved in Lombardy thanks to goals from Gomes and Marenic, the rossoblù are currently in 9th place in the standings at 30 points.
The players of San Marino, coached by Alain Conte, on the last day of the championship were defeated 3-2 on the field of Palermo. At the moment the classification sees Massa and his companions in 5th place at 35 points. A very difficult and demanding challenge for the Sassari who will try to bring home another company in search of a position in the standings that can facilitate them in the path in the Italian Cup next season.
The match will be broadcast live on the Eleven Sports platform, with production of the event entrusted to the team of DirectaSport, media partner of the rossoblùs.
The future and the present in red and blue shades
The Torres Female, demonstrating how careful and proud it is of the growth of its youth sector, before the start of the match, will give space to the female under 15 players trained by Mr. Gigi Casu for a celebratory moment. After obtaining a striking 7-1 victory against Cagliari on 9 April, the young rossoblùs have gained access to the national stages. The various qualified teams have been divided into 4 groups of 8 teams each and will compete for access to the National Final Eights (from 25 to 30 June) starting this weekend. The Torres Women’s group will be made up of: Milan, Atalanta, Sassuolo, Cesena, Carrarese, Fiorentina and Florentia San Gimignano.
