Six good reasons not to miss Monaco-Angers
AS Monaco hosts Angers SCO this Sunday (3 p.m.), on behalf of the 35th day of Ligue 1. Here are six arguments for not missing this match, under any circumstances.
Four more matches! More than ever, the final sprint of the Ligue 1 season is in full swing and AS Monaco is in full swing. This Sunday (3 p.m.), the Red and Whites are also hosting SCO Angers on behalf of the 35and day and will try to surf on their positive wave of the moment. Here are six arguments for you not to rate this match.
Because it is as important as the previous posters
Obviously, we are not going to teach you that AS Monaco are on an incredible series. With six successes in a row, the Red and Whites are even the most in-form team of the five major European championships and can extend their invincibility even further against Angers. Because if the posters against PSG (3-0), Rennes (3-2) or the derby against Nice (1-0) provided the light, this match against SCO is just as important in this final sprint. And as this little-known sentence in the world of football says: “It doesn’t matter who the opponent is, the important thing is the three points”.
Because it is the guarantee to see goals
For AS Monaco, Angers is often synonymous with cheerfulness. The Club of the Principality remains on six consecutive games without defeat against SCO, including four successes in the last four games. And during these recent victories, the Monegasques have scored an average of two goals per game. Given the form that Philippe Clément’s men are in at the moment, we therefore see no reason why there should not be a show on Sunday at the Stade Louis-II.
Because Wissam Ben Yedder is aiming for a record
Speaking of goals, here’s one who knows about it. Author of the opener on Saturday in Saint-Etienne (4-1), Wissam Ben Yedder scored his 20and achievement in Ligue 1 this season, equaling its best total in Ligue 1, reached in 2020-2021. If he scores against SCO, he will break his record and equal Radamel Falcao, who scored 21 times in the league in 2016-2017. And icing on the cake, he would overtake Youri Djorkaeff in the ranking of the best scorers in the history of the Club. “Wiss” and the “Snake” are currently tied at 8and place, with 68 achievements.

Because it’s the opportunity to see a player trained at the Academy
If your friends call you “the old man”, or if you are slowly but surely moving towards this category, a face will be familiar to you on the side of the SCO. If you were already following AS Monaco fifteen years ago, you remember the beginnings of Thomas Mangani. Trained at the Academy, then several times on loan, he remained on the Rock until 2012, contesting 52 matches, including the final of the Coupe de France 2011 as a holder. Now part of Angers, he will therefore be back on the land of his debut this Sunday.
2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣⭐️ – Thomas Mangani will play his 250th match with Angers SCO during #OLSCO.
He is the third player to count the most games under the colors of the SCO in the current squad behind Vincent Manceau and Romain Thomas.

Because you’re still not going to watch Alanyaspor-Malatyaspor
A quiet Sunday at home? A family meal that won’t last forever? The ideal program to take advantage of this Monaco-Angers which, objectively, crushes the competition of the other matches presented at the same time. Because after warming up at 1 p.m. in front of a boiling Old Firm between Celtic and Rangers (or Troyes-Lille for those less fond of kick and rush), it will be time to put on your Diagonal jersey. Among the other L1 matches starting at 3 p.m.only second part of the table posters are on the program, and abroad it is not Everton-Chelsea, AC Milan-Fiorentina or the very expected Alanyaspor-Malatyaspor (respect if you know a player from both teams) who will do overshadow “Captain Wissam” and his gang.
Takımımız, Spor Toto Süper Lig Ahmet Çalık Sezonu 35. haftasında oynayacağı Öznur Kablo Yeni Malatyaspor maçının hazırlıklarına bugün başladı. 💪

Because it’s not just the Monaco E-Prix this weekend
In the Principality, who says spring says motor racing. This weekend is the Monaco E-Prix which is on the program, with free practice and a race on Saturday. For this 5and edition, on a 3.3 kilometer urban track, the drivers will compete for victory which went to Portuguese António Félix da Costa (DS Techeetah) last year. If the show is therefore guaranteed on Saturday in the streets of Monaco, it will also continue on Sunday within the walls of Fontvieille.
