Brussels targets talents from outside the EU for staff shortages

The European Union needs time in the field of talented workers from EU countries to make up for shortages in outside sectors such as healthcare. The European Commission is preparing a package of measures for legal living and working for foreigners in the EU.
She also wants to improve the rights of, legal migrants and their improvement and to set up an ‘EU talent pool’.
For example, the committee proposes a combined application procedure for job and residence rights. That would also make it possible for the EU to recruit staff from outside the EU. It should also be possible to stay in the EU for longer to work and to work and live in another after working under a contract.

According to the executive board of the EU, the proposed EU talent pool should become a supply and demand platform. The committee proposes to try this initiative already this summer for skilled refugees from Ukraine who are looking for work.
