Great gratitude and many certificates of esteem: Francesco Disanto awarded at the Siena Club Fedelissimi :: Siena Club Fedelissimi 1970
The award ceremony of the Fedelissimo d’Oro was held yesterday evening, during which Francesco Disanto was awarded the important award now in its 43rd edition. A rather large delegation from the club took part in the evening, led by the general manager Marco Trabucchi, coach Pasquale Padalino and his deputy Sergio Di Corcia, the match analyst Andrea Fardone and the athletic trainer Sandro Bencardino. Together with them also the Juventus team manager Nino Scimone, the press officer Andrea Bianchi Sugarelli, the marketing manager Giorgio Lenzi, the warehouse assistant Adamo Lorenzetti and the plant manager Fulvio Muzzi.
The absolute star of the evening, however, was the winner, to whom the numerous present gave the deserved praise for a season in which the Juventus winger started from the rear. Without anyone giving him anything, Disanto first won a place as a starter until he carved out the role of driver, becoming an indispensable element for the team and for all the coaches who have alternated on the Juventus bench.
An acknowledgment that the number 7 welcomed with great enthusiasm: “It is an honor to receive this award. Just scrolling through the roll of honor to understand its importance – Disanto – can only make me proud. Being here among all the people is a source of great satisfaction. I must certainly thank Siena. I had already done the Lega Pro, then for a series of physical and other reasons I had to drop the category. I never gave up, I tried to get back into the game but the call from Serie C didn’t materialize. When Siena arrived I decided to take this path because the importance of the square is not discussed. Then I was lucky enough to stay after the repechage and fight for this jersey ”.
Disanto also briefly retraces his season: “Gilardino had called me during the summer, he made me proud both to be considered important by someone I would be like him and for the environment in which he came to play. Each season has the story of him: there have been many difficulties, but there have also been beautiful moments. The thing that I think is there for all to see – underlines the Juventus winger – is that the group has always been compact. Despite the changes of manager and club we have achieved the goal, we are only sorry that with a victory it could have been in the playoffs. Future? Let’s see what will come out, I would be proud to stay in Siena. The truth is that not yet ”. (Jacopo Fanetti)
