Deputy Mayor Petr Hlubuek / STAN /: Prague must dream of its dependence on Russian gas and strengthen its energy self-sufficiency
Reducing energy dependencies on oil and gas supplies from Russia is becoming a security necessity and a political priority for the capital. The price of natural gas in the last year before the outbreak of wolves in Ukraine by 170% and it is necessary to deal with the scene where the availability of natural gas in Europe will fall sharply in the near future and the price of imported liquefied gas will rise dramatically. The capital city of Prague therefore wants to accelerate projects increasing the energy self-sufficiency of the capital city.
In Prague, natural gas is used mainly for heating. Approximately one hundred and eighty thousand households took it and gave it a thousand customers from institutions and fire brigade. The capital city for the heating of buildings alone accounts for about one tenth of the total natural gas consumption in R. The capital city of Prague wants to dream of this measure, especially in Russian gas, by adopting a number of specific measures, some of which are already being prepared or even implemented.
Invited energy security with an emphasis on energy self-sufficiency, in the light of Russia in Ukraine is an absolute political priority for us. That’s why I commissioned a working group on climate change to prepare Climate change update hl. Prague by 2030 to assess how the future role of natural gas in meeting energy needs hl. its inhabitants have the duty to dream of the dependence of the capital of Prague on the supply of Russian natural gask nmstek mayor Petr Hlubuek /TENT/. I would rd pedloil to go to the arrest of years Rad hl. ma nsledn ZHMP. This is not just about energy security, but also reasonably sustainable energy prices for the people of Prague, Mayor of Life, Infrastructure and Security Petr Hlubuek /TENT/.
Among the measures being prepared, for example, there is a requirement that the development of new flats and commercial projects on the city’s ground be designed so that heat-free heat sources on renewable energy sources. For existing buildings that use a gas source of heat, the city is preparing the steps it wants motivate the owners to switch to another source by providing support from the given programThe City of Prague is an energy Prague, which is designed for apartment houses, family houses and apartments. The capital is still fulfilling the investment support for the installation of natural gas boilers has been completed and this investment support will be transferred to renewable sourcesspecific heat pumps, photovoltaic and photothermal systems.
A separate chapter of dream dependence on natural gas is the long-term heating of households, where some long-term heating systems use the first natural gas.
We want to install innovative alternative sources as a substitute for natural gas in these systems. The first concrete step is included preparation of ENERGOCENTRE installation, using wastewater from the central wastewater treatment plant in Bubeni. With the help of a large-capacity heat pump, the Energy Center will first reduce the heat energy for delivery to the neighboring localities of Dejvice and Veleslavna and in the second stages to the locality of Holeovice and to the developing countries of Bubny-Ztory, explains nmstek Hlubuek /TENT/.
The energy center will be the largest heat and cold production system in the vicinity of heat pumps. Heat supplies from large-capacity heat pumps have been filled for several years, and the heat pumps themselves will be the driving force for electricity from renewable sources.
The capital wants to acquire its own gas resources, which increase the energy independence of Prague. We pushed it to be created in the central sewage system biomethane productionThe first stage will be put into operation this year and if it turns out to be economically efficient, its capacity will increase several times over time, of Petr Hlubuek /TENT/. As a kind of own source of organic biomethane we want own biogas plant for the processing of municipal waste bio-components, which could be put into operation around 2025dodv nmstek Hlubuek.
Among other measures include the reduction of energy requirements of buildings and the reduction of energy losses of city buildings.
