to announce its Expé festival, the University of Burgundy releases a humorous video to the tunes of Full Metal Jacket
“Come on, you lazy bunch.” Barely started, the video published by the account of the University of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté puts you in the bath. For more than two minutes, references to famous movie Full Metal Jacket (a Vietnam War film, directed by Stanley Kubrick), and more specifically to Instructor Sergeant Hartman, will follow each other. All readjusted to stick to the universe of scientific researchers and the academic world.
Three days of scientific popularization in the city of the Dukes
The objective of this video release this Monday? To promote l’Expé, a festival for young researchers which will take place from May 12 to 14 in Dijon, with free access. In total, about sixty researchers from all over France will be present to popularize their theses and to talk about science. The European Night of Museums, at the International City of Gastronomy and Wine, at the Museum of Fine Arts or at the Museum of Burgundy Life, is also part of the festival.
If the video has so far been little seen (556 views on Twitter, 126 views on Facebook at 8:38 p.m. on Monday), Internet users have generally represented the achievement.
