On Monday, 2,257 new cases of Covid-19 arrived in the Czech Republic. It’s almost three times more than a week ago, but it was Easter Monday. There are 863 patients in the hospitals with a positive coronavirus test, several dozen more than at the end of the weekend, however, in a week-on-week comparison, this means a decrease of 132 hospitalized patients. 39 people were in a difficult state. This follows from the data of the Ministry of Health.

The incidence number has risen slightly, with 141 people per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days. In all regions, this value is currently higher than one hundred. The highest remains in Prague, where it is 229. On the contrary, in the Liberec region the incidence is 107, the least in the country.

Almost 6.87 million people in the Czech Republic have completed vaccinations, and more than 4.14 million have received a booster dose.
