Prague has a new Metropolitan Plan. It can be seen in CAMP, public opinion is welcome
The metropolitan plan currently in force in Prague dates from 1994 and 1999, respectively. “To put it in the context of the time, it is good to choose that the Škoda Felicia was launched in 1994. It was certainly a decent car at the time, but from today’s point of view, it is clear that time has moved significantly forward. It is similar with the Metroplan, “said Mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates) at the beginning of the press conference.
It has been worked on for 4 years
The draft Metropolitan Plan was first presented to the public in 2018; the public could already comment on its form at that time, but this option was rather used by the authorities and ministries. These comments are already incorporated in the version, which can be seen in CAMP from April 26, and the plan thus enters the next stage of discussion, in which the public can once again comment on its form, until 30 Junewhen the exhibition “This is the Plan!” ends.
“The basic thesis of the new zoning plan is to expand into the landscape and set a clear city boundaries, as well as more efficient use of brownfields and support for affordable housing. Compared to the original version of the Metropolitan Plan from 2018, we are also they have strengthened the protection of public facilities much more, “Explained Deputy Mayor for Regional Development Petr Hlaváček (STAN). “It simply came to our notice then panorama control and horizon protection or even height regulation of buildings throughout Prague, which Prague has lacked so far, “he added.
Express your opinion
