Toulouse. The historic train from Toulouse to Cahors
Next Saturday, May 7, the volunteers of the historic train of Toulouse offer you a nice outing in Quercy.
For this round trip, the convoy will take the Toulouse-Paris line as far as Cahors station, as the prestigious “Le Capitole” train has traveled for many years.
In the morning, after visiting Pont Valentré, a medieval masterpiece, you will embark on the boat of the same name for a commented river cruise on the Lot.
Then it will be time to eat. Depending on your prior choice, picnic (to take away yourself as in the past in the wicker basket) or meal at the restaurant “La Chartreuse” on the banks of the Lot.
During the afternoon you will visit the railway museum of St Géry deployed on the edge of the old Cahors-Capdenac line and stroll through the alleys of one of the most beautiful villages in France: St Cirq-Lapopie.
Departure from Toulouse-Matabiau at 8:32 am. Stations served: Castelnau d’Estretefonds, Montauban and Caussade. Return to Toulouse scheduled for 9:40 p.m.
