Second edition of the Month of Nature starts on May 1 | Brussels
Brussels Environment is organizing the Month of Nature for the second time. It runs from May 1 to May 31.
With this campaign, Brussels Environment wants to put the spotlight on nature in the capital: “The green and natural spaces cover more than half of the regional surface. The forests, parks, private gardens, wet areas, agricultural land, fallow land, playgrounds, cemeteries … are spread over 8,000 hectares, and all of them play a fundamental role in the development of nature sounds and the protection of its impacts”, according to Brussels Environment.
The Month of Nature offers visitors the opportunity to discover the Brussels-Capital Region in four landscape facets: the dense city, the water city, the forest city and the rural city. Around 80 free activities are being organized in collaboration with various Brussels associations and institutions. These range from workshops to film screenings and walking and cycling tours.
