Municipal elections in Prague 4: ODS will cooperate with TOP 09
Municipal elections will take place in the autumn of this year. And many parties and groups are already beginning to “arm themselves.” They are already emerging as well election coalition. Many times they copy the parliamentary model, elsewhere they go against the current – for example, in Prague 8 and 3, the stable model TOP 09 and STAN “continues”. To Prague 4, the “bastion” of the ODS chairman Marek Benda, falls into the first column. On April 25, the ODS signed a memorandum with TOP 09.
“Cultivated Right”
“It simply came to our notice then Prague voters want the cooperation of a decent and cultured right, that is why we are establishing a joint coalition of ODS and TOP 09 in Prague 4, “said Marek Benda. “Voters in Prague in the parliamentary elections made it clear that they wanted a right-wing solution“Confirms his words Filip Vácha (TOP 09), who is a representative of Prague 4.
He will lead the joint candidate Ondrej Kubin (ODS) – also the current representative of Prague 4. “I look forward to further joint cooperation and after the great result of the coalition Together we believe in strong mandates. Prague 4 faces a difficult period associated with the reconstruction of the Barrandov Bridge and traffic restrictions in connection with the construction of metro D. At the same time, we want to expand Prague 4 into a modern and friendly place to live, “outlined the aspiring mayor.
(Almost) TOTAL
Both the ODS and TOPka refer to their success in the parliamentary elections in 2021. At that time, however, they were supplemented by the People’s Party. In Prague 4, they announced in February that they would not join a similar union. They have concluded cooperation with STAN. She will be the leader of the candidate Lukáš Zicha (STAN), which has been sitting in the council since 2018.
“On our core topics such as affordable housing, digitization of the office, modern education, living culture, perfect management of urban greenery and the environment in general, our coalition partners will be complemented by experts in family and social policy, “said Lech. “Our electoral cooperation with STAN is a logical continuation of work in the council and also a logical outcome of program proximity and, last but not least, personal trust between members of both parties“Added Tomáš Kaplan, President of the KDU-ČSL in Prague.
How else is it?
Pre-election coalitions are growing in Prague as mushrooms after the rain. In Prague 1, Lidovci, STAN and the We, who live here group have already announced their cooperation in advance. In Prague 3, for a change, they agreed to continue STAN and TOP 09 together with the Žižkov group (not only) themselves. Without the Žižkovás, they are just as good at Prague 8. There was even a second coalition formed there – Prague Sobě and 8živi. On the contrary, similarly to Prague, the Civic Democrats and Topka went out in Prague 10.
