A delicacy for classical music lovers: COLOR DAB + multiplex spreads the new Classic Praha station, with a high data flow
The operator of the Prague and Central Bohemian digital radio network COLOR DAB + continues its strategy of offering listeners a varied program offer, but at the same time in the high sound quality that this technology enables. He therefore included the Classic Praha station, which he is newly distributing, with a data rate of 128 kbps and AAC-LC coding.
“We are glad that stations from the Seznam.cz portfolio remain a long-term part of our multiplex – ie Expres FM and now also Classic Prague,” the coordinator of the COLOR DAB + project Jakub Melín wrote on Sunday morning on the Facebook social network. He described the high sound quality and coding used as “appropriate for classical music” in his commentary. Those interested can compare the difference with the competing network of ČRa DAB + on this broadcast.
Melín added that both stations are broadcasting, including the logo and information about the song being played, and the modern DL + supplementary information format is also being used at Classic Prague (so far in the test). At the same time, the UA1 station, the first circuit of Ukrainian public radio, which can be tuned in by ČRo DAB + networks on channel 12C in the Czech Republic and on channel 12D in Moravia and Silesia, was excluded from the COLOR DAB + multiplex.
