The Spanish politician stood up for Hungary in the LIBE committee
On the community page, Balázs Orbán also shared a short video in which Jorge Buxadé, a Spanish MEP, addresses the LIBE Committee.
Jorge Buxadé emphasized that Hungary was completely democratic. Hungary is a state governed by the rule of law, it has a constitution that guarantees the rights of Hungarian citizens, it has a parliament that makes laws in accordance with the constitution, and it has a functioning judiciary, said the Spanish MEP. Then he added: this is one of the reasons why Hungary was admitted to the European Union.
And he also said about Hungary, a country where the media is free and where a smooth election was held on April 3, which Jorge Buxadé personally monitored as an election observer.
The MP also pointed out that Fidesz, the party of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, won the election with more than 50 percent of the vote, an increase of 8 percentage points compared to the previous election.
Jorge Buxadé said at the LIBE committee meeting: “I know I wish Orbán didn’t exist, neither Fidesz nor certain parties would ban them all. But this is democracy. ”
And Fidesz’s victory was despite the fact that the European Commission was constantly intervening, that the European Parliament was threatening to freeze the money, that the committees of inquiry had no interest in investigating anything, and that there were hundreds of debates in this parliament. .
this was explained by Jorge Buxadé, who said that the European left had not yet recovered from the shock and that they no longer liked democracy. In Hungary, it was the opposition who asked for a referendum on the law passed by the Hungarian Parliament. And when the referendum was called, the opposition boycotted it.
The Member then added:
“I and the millions of Europeans, as well as the thousands of representatives of these Europeans, in the institutions of the Union and in them, we also believe that children should not be sexualized in schools.”.
According to Jorge Buxadé, Hungary will not be the last country to pass laws to protect the innocence of children and the right of parents to raise their children instead of lobby groups.
He then emphasized that the laws passed by the Hungarian Parliament were about this, the laws to which they referred in the LIBE committee debate and “which have certainly not been read”.
According to the Spanish representative
“What you need to worry about is, paradoxically, that any homosexual walks more calmly through the streets of Budapest than in the multicultural neighborhoods or no-go zones you define, where the lives and freedoms of homosexuals are in danger.”
