Hannover 96: Marcel Franke is about to say goodbye, his wife Jenna bleeds her heart – 2nd Bundesliga
Marcel Franke (29) missed the away game on Sunday (1.30 p.m.) in Paderborn due to a tendon injury in his knee. Not the only pain for the captain of Hannover 96.
Franke will probably leave Hannover 96 at the end of the season. His contract is expiring, so far there have been no signs of a new offer. A change is likely, second division competitor Karlsruher SC is hot for the central defender.
Farewell to Hanover is approaching – an Instagram post from wife Jenna also suggests this. Ms. Captain wrote: “My heart bleeds at the thought of leaving the city where our children were born.”
The “big one”, Julina, is two years old. Mara was born in early December.
The Franke family is currently building a house in their hometown of Dresden. “Frankie” came to Hannover in 2019, has played 81 competitive games for 96 (no goal) and has been captain since the start of the season. He would have liked to stay – and so would his wife, as the Instagram post clearly reveals.
With Phil Neumann (24) from Kiel, 96 already has a defensive successor in mind. The negotiations are far. As soon as 96 is saved, the transfer should go through.
