Exhibition: McDonald’s celebrates its 40th anniversary in Toulouse
To celebrate the opening of the first McDonald’s restaurant in Toulouse, 40 years ago, an exhibition is taking place at the Galerie Alain Daudet until May 11.
40 years ago, the first McDonald’s restaurant was set up on the Place du Capitole in Toulouse and since then there have been 35 establishments throughout the Toulouse conurbation. In 1987, it was the first McDrive that opened its doors in Portet then, over time, we were entitled to table service in 2016 and then delivery in 2020 thanks to the health crisis.
In Toulouse, taste trends have kept pace with flagship products from the American giant. But McDonald’s has also deployed in the associative and social life of Toulouse with the creation of the Maison es Parents Ronald McDonald of the children’s hospital of the CHU Purpan in 2005, the support for Toulouse clubs such as the Stade, the TFC, the FENIX , Colomiers Rugby or the Spacer’s.
Without forgetting, its cultural presence with works by Jean-Pierre Rives in Compans in 1991, an exhibition by Jean Dieuzaine in Esquirol or even Street art in honor of Wilson.
Quite naturally, the exhibition at the Galerie Alain Daudet will pay homage to all this. Famous Toulouse artists such as Ceet, Fred Manenc and Alexandre Nicolas have created works for the 40th anniversary. They will also be put into play in McDonald’s restaurants in Toulouse.
