Annecy. Le Libellule sets sail again on April 28, with the Bocuse group in the kitchen
After a 2020 season ruined by the pandemic and a complicated summer 2021, Le Libellule is back and has some surprises in store for its passengers for this new sailing season on the way. An emblematic boat on Lake Annecy for almost 40 years (inaugurated on May 28, 1984), Le Libellule will set sail again on Thursday April 28 with a brand new catering service.
The flagship of the Compagnie de navigation du lac d’Annecy has joined forces with C-Gastronomie, a member of the Bocuse group. “We wanted to perfect the quality of our catering offer over the long term”, rejoices Philippe Gausset, president of the Tourisme Participations group, owner of the Compagnie des Bateaux d’Annecy which also owns boats on the lakes of Bourget and Aiguebelette. .
Local gastronomy in the spotlight
For this, the Annecy Company has bet on a regional specialist in gastronomy (event catering and caterer). “C-Gastronomie will be keen to manage the cuisine and service at Le Libellule with this spirit and this constant concern for excellence which are also our DNA”, adds Philippe Gausset. The two partners established the new menus by combining the quality of the dishes with local products and the exceptional setting of Lake Annecy. C-Gastronomie has endeavored to recruit, train and promote employees from the region.
Le Libellule completely renovated in 2023
“This association is a preliminary to the complete renovation of the Libellule which has begun and which will be completed by spring 2023”, he adds. The Libellule will then have a fully electric motorization. A silence that will be priceless for passengers who have come to enjoy traditional local dishes and benefit from the comments of the Company’s pilot, lifting the veil on the secret stories of the lake.
