Bernard Minier signing his new book “Lucia” in Toulouse
The Librairie de la Renaissance welcomes Bernard Minier for a signing session for his new book “Lucia”, this Tuesday, April 19, in Toulouse.
He is one of the French-speaking authors in sight at the moment. His detective novels have been translated into twenty languages. Bernard Minier published the thriller “Lucia” on March 31, and he is expected for a signing session this Tuesday April 19 at 7 p.m. at the Libraire de la Renaissance in Toulouse.
“Lucia” is Bernard Minier’s tenth thriller. Like the previous ones, it is published by XO editions. In this book, the author features a new heroine: Lucia Guerrero. Lucia, like “luz”, light in Spanish, and Guerrero, like war.
“He’s a gendarme from the Spanish Guardia Civil who has punch, a strong character, who doesn’t cut corners. She will discover monstrous crimes and embark on the trail of a murderer baptized the “glue killer”, says the author in The invitation on TV5 Monde.
This killer stages his victims by drawing inspiration from Renaissance paintings. From the first pages of this book, Lucia finds herself face to face with a teammate who is as if crucified. She has the impression that he is suspended in the air. But it turns out he’s stuck to a cross.
” What stood there, several meters above the ground, suspended in the rainy sky, was not a statue but a man. Someone she knows. Son co-worker, son friend, son teammate: Sergeant Sergio Castillo Moreira. Thirty five years. Married, father of two little girls. A good cop. A good father. For all she knew…”, writes Bernard Minier.
