Vienna Cammarota, 72 years old walking on the Silk Road
Vienna Cammarota, 72, originally from Ferlitto, in Cilento, will be the first woman in the world to describe the Silk Road in contemporary times by crossing it on foot. You leave on April 26 from the Lazzaretto Nuovo in Venice and arrive in Beijing in four years. The initiative will be presented on Tuesday 19 April – 12.00 – at the Royal Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia in Naples (Banchina Santa Lucia, 13). On that occasion the Cammarota will illustrate for the first time the details of her journey and the entire itinerary.
Archeoclub Ambassador of Italy, historical walker, Cammarota will be the first woman in the world who will go on foot from Venice to Beijing. The bell walker will cross Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, then descend to Turkey, Georgia, Iran, Turkimenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China.
