The exclusion of the metro has started in Prague, the whole holidays will not leave the Museum at the Prague Uprising – ČT24 – Czech Television
Passengers from the metro can change to the alternative XC bus line already at the Hlavní nádraží station, at the Museum the bus stops are a bit far from the metro exits. Buses also serve the IP Pavlova and Vyšehrad stations, and you can change back to the metro at the Prague Uprising.
Alternative transport stops are on the main road – in the direction of the Prague Uprising in Wilsonova (Hlavní nádraží and Muzeum), Sokolská (IP Pavlova) and 5. května (Vyšehrad) streets, in the opposite direction in 5. května (Vyšehrad), Legerova (IP Pavlova and Museum) and Wilsonova (Central Station). The final of the Prague Uprising is at the stop of line 134 at the southern exit from the metro station, the bus stop is at the stop of the night line opposite it.
Compared to the previous exclusions, nothing has changed in the fact that the Prague Uprising station is not barrier-free. It has no elevator or escalators. The transport company therefore recommended that immobile passengers use surface lines – tram 19 from the Pankrác station, which runs in the direction of Vršovice, or bus 135, which connects Florenc and Jižní Město.
The Easter interruption of the operation of the metro line C is another in a series of closures during which the transport company exchanges sleepers on the oldest route of the Prague underground. According to the company’s spokeswoman Aneta Řehková, they will be exchanged at the Vyšehrad station and in the section between the IP Pavlova and Muzeum stations. You can also use the transport company for further repairs in the Nuselský Bridge.
The closure in the subway is the first this year, but not the last. Due to the replacement of sleepers, more are planned for the beginning of July and the period around November 17. In addition, there will be several weekend closures from mid-May due to repairs to the Florenc station. The metro will not run between Nádraží Holešovice and Hlavní nádraží stations.
