Five-year ranking: Frankfurt and Leipzig save BL balance sheet
The successes of RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt have done German professional football good in the UEFA five-year ranking.

England is making big strides against the other football nations and scored 1,715 points in the quarter-finals of the three European competitions. The second most successful league was Germany, which scored a smooth 1,000 points despite Bayern Munich’s elimination from the Champions League.
The Bayern draw delivered one point, the siege of Frankfurt and Leipzig two each. There were also two bonus counters for the electronic semifinals. Spain had to be content with 0.572 points, Italy with only 0.430.
2022/23: Bundesliga displaces Serie A from third place
The Bundesliga will definitely edge Italy out of third place next season as Germany loses just 9,857 points from 2017/18 while Italy loses 17,333.
The UEFA five-year ranking after the quarter-finals of the Champions, Europa and Conference Leagues is decisive for the allocation of starting places in the 2023/24 season.
