The Hungarian band won three matches so far in the five-team A-group, so it was probably the first to stand out against all the Baltics who lost their meetings. He is ranked 82nd in the world rankings at the opening of the no-bet duel Udvardy Panna won in an hour Katriin Saar (1331).
“I think I played very well and this match was perfect for me to play tennis without pressure.” Quoted Udvardy’s post-match statement about MTI.
In the second match of the no-bet duel, he is ranked 72nd in the world rankings Anna Bondár In 62 minutes, he won in two sets Maileen Nuudi (894.).
“I managed to reap a confident victory, winning the duel and closing the group round unbeaten. Luckily, the weather was really good today, so I was able to play my own game. ” Said Bondár.
In the third game Jani Réka and Tóth Amarissa won two sets in a 68-minute game Anet Angelika Koskel and Katriin Saar against.
“We also managed to win our second doubles match, I am very happy to have played together and we are such a good team,” said Amarissa Tóth.
“I think we played very well too, I’m glad that by winning the pair, today’s final result was three-zero and we are the first in the group.” – added Jani Réka.
Csaba Babos The federal captain pointed out that the two best players in Estonia, Anett Kontaveit and Kaia Kanepi, did not take part in the tournament, so we didn’t have a hard time for the Hungarians. He revealed the team is still waiting for a match against Slovenia in the other group on Saturday. As he explained, a team ranking will be created based on a complex evaluation, based on which the teams will be highlighted, and the result of Saturday’s match will be included in this.
The captain added that Udvardy Panna will certainly not play against the Slovenes as she has already traveled to the venue for next week’s WTA tournament in Stuttgart.
In the Antalya match, the winners of the two groups will advance directly to the November playoffs, while the runners-up will decide the fate of the third place in another match. The winners of the year-end playoffs – in addition to the nine losers in this year’s qualifiers – could be in the top three in all three zones – will be able to play for the grand final next year.
