Press for Juniorgutta in France
The junior guys (LM02) are in Serris, France to play tournament this Easter weekend. The tournament is a four-nation tournament with Norway, France, Denmark and Egypt. Today’s match against France will decide who will be Norway’s next opponent in the tournament.
It was Norway who got off to the best start in France and got the honor of putting the first ball in goal. However, it was even the first few minutes and after five minutes was wasted the score was 3-2. Norway had the initiative at the start of the match, and led 5-3 minutes in the match. Both teams played tough handball and the match was marked by several expulsions and penalties.
The teams played incredibly evenly, but after 16 minutes the French equalized for the first time in the match to 9-9. The minute after, the home team went up in the lead for the first time, after the French goalkeeper kept up with several good saves. In the last ten minutes of the first half, it was France who had taken over, and many goals were scored both ways. The home team went to the break with a 20-15 lead, after a fast-paced second half of the first half.

The French continued the move they finished the first half with, scoring for goals on the rap before Norway scored its first. Norway fought hard and played good attacks, but France kept the five-goal lead. After 40 minutes wasted, both teams had scored five goals each, and the score was thus 25-20. Norway failed to reduce the lead in the first 15 minutes of the second half, despite France incurring several two minutes.
Ten minutes before the end, the score was 30-25 in favor of the French boys. The Norwegian team played good attacking handball, but never managed to bring in the five-goal lead France had had the entire second half. The junior boys finally had to be beaten 36-30, and will thus meet Denmark on Saturday 16.06.
