The Monaco Grand Prix will be present on the calendar after 2022
As rumors echo of uncertainty surrounding the future of the Monaco Grand Prix, Michel Boeri, president of the Automobile Club de Monaco, wanted to silence speculation.
When the contract linked to Formula 1 at the Monaco Grand Prix comes to an end at the end of the season, negotiations for the renewal of the latter are underway according to Michel Boeri. On the occasion of the general meeting of the body of commissioners of the Automobile Club of Monaco, the president of the ACM wanted to reassure the fans.
An extended contract of three or five years?
“I want to allude to what we have read in the press where we talk about difficulties after this 2022 edition, that is to say from next year, to continue to organize Grands Prix. It’s wrong. We are still in discussions with them and we will now have to finalize the signing of a contract. I can guarantee you that after 2022 the Grand Prix is confirmed to take place. I don’t know if the contract will be for three or five years, but that’s a detail. »
