A former AS Monaco in the viewfinder?
While the Bianconeri’s favorite track is called Paul Pogba, the leaders of the Italian club could fall back on Youri Tielemans, the former Monegasque, in the event of failure with the French midfielder.
Despite his last good performances in Serie A (4 wins, 1 loss), Juventus of Turin is having a very complicated season. Fourth in their championship, Massimiliano Allegri’s players are currently qualified for the next Champions League but remain six points behind leaders Milan. The queen competition they have by the way since 8and final, to everyone’s surprise, against the brave team of Villarreal (aggregate score 4-1). A poor performance which risked leaving traces and above all causing change in the Turin squad this summer, particularly in the midfield, which was Juve’s strong point some time ago.
Estimated at 55 million euros!
Not everything is to be thrown away. The Bianconeri can rely on young experienced players like Manuel Locatelli, Weston McKennie or Zakaria Denis to build a strong midfield next season. Cases Adrien Rabiot and Arthur are, for their part, less obvious and a possible departure of one of the two cannot be ruled out. The club therefore wishes to bring back a former star of the club: Paul Pogba. But if the return of the Frenchman, who passed through Italy between 2012 and 2016, were only to fall through, the Turin leaders could answer each other on another Premier League midfielder, Youri Tielemans. Author of 7 goals and 3 assists in 39 games in all competitions this season, the Belgian would have an exit voucher from Leicester. But unlike Paul Pogba, free in June, the former Monegasque is still under contract with the Foxes until 2023. Juventus will therefore have to take out the check for the one who is handed over to 55 million euros by transfer market.
