THE FOOTBALL PLAYERS OVERCOME PRAGUE AND ARE AT THE HEAD OF THE PRELIGIBLE TABLE!
PROSTEJOV Football players TJ Sokol I Prostejov had to work hard for almost four hours of demanding sports shifts before they defeated the very strong SK Start Prague 6: 4 in Sunday’s hit of the 1st league of men’s teams in the Czech Republic 2022. It was a prelude to the 10th round of the competition, so both teams had difficult duels on Saturday and they were logically running out of energy. Nevertheless, there was an extra-league level game to be seen exclusively, with the home team firmly established themselves at the top of the standings with a full six points earned thanks to the triumph!
She probably hasn’t experienced the gymnasium of the elementary school in Palackého Street, where the second weekend sword of the Haná Manchaft moved due to excessively cold weather. On the one hand, the world and European champion Martin Müller, on the other hand, the multiple world champion Vilém Ungermann and other fighters who have had Milan Kaděra and David Tůma among the national elite for many years. They simply came across about the two biggest favorites of the competition, which corresponded to the high level of football.
Just like the day before, the well-mentioned Müller and Tomáš Roba opened the match against Žďár, who managed to turn the starting set from 3: 7 to 10: 8 (!) In the first two and then ruled 10: 6 – 1: 0. In addition, Jan Jechort was injured by the guests, leaving only six of them and they could not take turns. Unfortunately, in the second pair, the injured Lukáš Pírek also had to resign, and the promising matches were captured by Jan Matkulčík and Petr Zemánek by Ungermann and Kaděra 8:10, 10: 8 and 8:10 – 1: 1. Müller, Rob, Zemánek won an important second point in the ratio of 8:10, 10: 6, 10: 8, although they lost the entry set and lost 6: 8 – 2: 1 in the third. However, another comparison of the situation was arranged by the bloated Prague trio with Ungermann and Kaděra, on whom Matkulčík, Ladislav Pírek and Petr Deutsch broke their teeth with a clear ratio of 3:10, 7:10 – 2: 2.
However, the next passage of the great match belonged to the Hanáks. The third pair of Lad. Pírek, Deutsch experienced a tense ending twice twice 10: 8 (3: 2), after which the amazing Rob did not disappoint again in the single, where he literally won a tough fight against Tům 10: 7 and 10: 9 – 4: 2. The absolute qualitative peak was immediately the battle between the trio Müller, Zemánek, Roba and Ungermann, Kaděra, Sankot. Although the Prostějov pullers were left behind for a long time (0: 1 for sets and 7: 8), they managed to increase their performance to such an extent that the favorites with a brilliant past met famously 8:10, 10: 8, 10: 8! At that moment, Sokol I led 5: 2, had a certain draw at least and the only partial win he lacked for overall success. However, it did not work out for the three Matkulčík, Lad. Pírek, Deutsch due to a gradual decrease in strength – 10: 8, 5:10, 6:10 and 5: 3. In the end, Müller and Roba, who are fantastically trampling, got very close to the first point, as they already won the opening part over Ungermann and Kaděr, in the second they led 9: 7. Unfortunately, they did not turn three swordfish in a row, they fell 10: 8, 9:10, 7:10. And with a running match score of 5: 4, it went to the final stage. In it, like the famous Phoenix, Matkulčík, physically squeezed and medically broken, arose from the ashes, so that together with the hero of the same-fashioned Zemánek, the duo Tůma, Lorenz 10: 7, 10: 9, together. And after all, the first-league hit came to a hard-won victory of the Prostějov team over the Prague selection 6: 4!
COACH’S MOUTH
Richard BENEŠ – TJ SOKOL I PROSTEJOV:
“Due to the strength of the two teams that collided, most of this match had the same extra-league exaggeration. The boys fought to the maximum again, showing very good performances. And especially Martin Müller and Tomáš Roba played literally fantastically, they narrowly missed the only ending of the already won two. That’s why we didn’t win 6: 3, and in truth I was a little worried that we would only take a 5: 5 draw in quotes in the end. However, Honza Matkulčík and Peťa Zemánek managed the last pair in a perfect way, which was a beautiful end to an excellent and extremely dramatic match. Although it cost us a lot of nerves, beating Start Prague with Ungermann, Kadera and Tůma in the team is really great. Our start to the season is therefore 100% in terms of results, the full number of six points gained is great. Now we will try not to lose in Friday’s retaliation at the Start. “
